The mobile internet has increasingly evolved with each new smartphone and tablet generation. Now, with LTE technology making it easier for more people to access the internet on-the-go, the demand for talent with mobile skills has grown immensely. Developing mobile interfaces and applications requires many skills, and software engineers, web developers and application developers are just a few of the roles many of these tech-savvy professionals will fill.
Recently, Research in Motion (RIM) listed a new position on its website that revealed its intent to hire developers for an undisclosed iOS enterprise application to be released through Apple’s App Store, according to Apple Insider.
An RIM spokesperson confirmed the project as part of its BlackBerry Mobile Fusion project stating, “In order for BlackBerry Mobile Fusion to perform advanced management functions for iOS devices, RIM will develop an on device client to be included as part of the overall solution.”
Mobile application development is on the rise and hiring top talent may help businesses appreciate success in 2012. RIM has found value in a strategic shift toward data services instead of hardware, and professionals may want to keep abreast of openings in the field of web technology for employment opportunities.
