According to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, those with information technology (IT) skills have been getting hired at a rapid rate.
The agency reported that in July, there were 20,400 positions filled across a number of IT industries. Specifically, there were 10,400 jobs added in the computer system design field, 7,000 in telecommunications and 1,900 positions filled in the hosting, data processing and similar fields.
Industry experts say that the figures mean those with IT skills would find number of opportunities for employment.

According to one recent report, members of the workforce who are 50 years old or older are more likely to get hired than their younger counterparts.
The recent survey, conducted by Braun Research and commissioned by Adecco Staff, found that 60 percent of hiring managers said they would employ a mature worker, while just 20 percent said they would bring on someone of the Millennial generation.
The survey also showed that nearly all managers surveyed, 91 percent, believed that mature workers were reliable and 88 viewed these older employees as professional.
Some believe the study reveals that companies all over the country place a high value of those with more experience.

One of the largest health information exchange companies in the United States recently announced that it would be conducting a new round of hiring to help handle growing demand.

In March, the healthcare industry added a total of 26,000 jobs, with hospitals and doctor’s offices adding 8,000, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data.
